An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
Junior Consultant to join our global Product Safety & Stewardship team which is embedded in the global Health Sciences Spearhead of Ramboll.

To succeed in this role, you will need to bring expertise in product safety & regulatory affairs with a focus on REACH, GHS/CLP and Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

We look for an agile and flexible colleague (M/F/d) who is willing to support complex product stewardship projects. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills complete your profile.

The position can be based either in our Rome or Milan office. Although a certain percentage of smart-working is allowed, a minimum presence in the office will be requested. The role may also require work trips across the country and EU.

Your key tasks and responsibility will be:

  • Support the execution of Product Stewardship and Safety projects in relation to the REACH regulation, such as: preparation/revision of REACH registration dossiers, preparation of Authorisation dossiers (AoA, SEA or CSR documents), preparation/revision of SDS, etc.
  • Act as team member for interdisciplinary / international REACH and REACHlike projects
  • Advise clients on existing as well as upcoming regulatory obligations (in the fields of environmental, health & safetyrelated topics)
  • Prepare and submit requests for notifications (C&L Inventory, Poison Center Notifications, SCIP Database)
  • Act as interface between toxicologists, ecotoxicologists, chemists, regulatory experts, life cycle experts and EHS experts/auditors within Ramboll
  • Work closely with our international team within the Ramboll Health Science Spearhead

For this role, we believe your starting point is:


  • Higher education in Science (e.g. chemistry, medicinal chemistry, biology, (eco)toxicology, environmental science, etc)
  • Postgraduate degree on Management of Chemicals (REACH and CLP) would be of advantage
  • Optimal knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Previous experience in working with IUCLID6 and with SDS authoring software (e.g. EPY, ChemGes, etc.)
  • Flexibility to travel

Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:

  • You are fluent in Italian and English (additional languages are a plus)
  • You are a confident communicator and listener and like interacting with people
  • You have previous experience in working within an international and multicultural organization
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good time management and organisational capabilities
