Job Description Summary:

At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years.

We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.


As Repair NPI Leader you will coordinate the industrial activities devoted to the NPI for new repair program and will be the Supply Chain interface for the Program Manager and the Customer.


In this role you will define program development plans throughout the Supply Chain, coordinating all the Product Centers and the functions involved (Quality, Purchasing, Technology Department) and being the SC primary interface for the Program Manager.


The goals of this role will mainly consist in matching the program milestones, reaching the Production Readiness and the Manufacturing Target Cost.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and technical direction for a specific repair program with significant business impact
  • Establish a plan, define tasks and objectives and identify resources/funding source
  • Manage the program, provide interim reports to customer, modify plan as required
  • Provide counsel to the team on design practices and standards
  • Coordinate and support the Supply Chain Department's and the involved plants in the execution of the activities required by the development plan
  • Effectively communicate with the Customer and/or program manager to ensure the product quality is delivered
  • Ensure development, implementation, and maintenance of technical operating plans for each assigned program, matching the program delivery, milestones, the industrialization targets, the product quality, the capability and capacity needs
  • Effectively communicate and influence partnership programs, interactions, and relationships
  • Support processes to improve efficiencies of the team
  • Drive the Program team and the SC Department's to achieve the Production Readiness on new repairs
  • Responsible for reportingout frequently on the status of initiatives, and client business performance
- support program manager to develop risk analysis on new repair industrialization plans


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Engineering Bachelor's degree
  • Significant technical competence on products and processes, obtained in Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Production Engineering
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Previous experience on leading multidiscipline engineering/GSC/technical teams
  • Ability to guide and lead others in a matrix environment
  • Prior program / project management experience
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
