Sales Development Manager


Contract:
Permanent Contract & F/T


Location:
Bologna (based in the HQ when not travelling, c. 100 days per year)


Salary:

Our client is a leading international company based in Italy (Bologna) working in the automotive and racing industry.

The role is based in Italy in their HQ; however, as part of the job, you will be required to travel 1/3 of your time (circa 100 days per year) to meet international clients and distributors.


As a
Sales Development Manager, you will have 6/7 years' experience in a similar role (B2B) and you will be in charge of developing and consolidating sales worldwide; this position reports directly to the board.

You will be responsible for identifying new business areas, building strong relationships with key clients and distributors, as well as securing new contracts and nurture existing partnerships.


  • Proposing commercial strategies and checking sales KPIs and costs
  • Creating and planning marketing and communication activities
  • Managing commercial agents and distributors
  • Analysis of markets, competitors and clients
  • Negotiating deals
  • Reaching company's KPIs
  • Attending international fairs and exhibitions to attract new clients

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience of working and living abroad
  • if you wish to relocate / move back to Italy, this is a great opportunity for someone with sales experience
  • Targetdriven, strong negotiation skills and outstanding communication abilities
  • Fluent in English as well as in Italian.
  • Proven years of experience in a Business Development role
  • Proven track record of hitting new business sales targets
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Confidence in speaking with senior decision makers
  • Excellent telephone call handling skills including questioning, probing, listening, establishing rapport, matching and closing
  • Experience in the automotive / manufacturing industry is preferable.

Salary:
€70, €90,000.00 per year


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Bologna, Emilia-Romagna: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:


  • Sales (B2B): 5 years (required)

  • Italian (required)

Willingness to travel:
