Job Description Summary:


For our Manufacturing Plant in Montecchio Maggiore (VI) with over
700 employees, we are seeking a Junior Firmware Engineer that will join a team of 11 Engineers in the R&D department.

The person will be primary responsible on making sure matters related to Product compliance, safety and related certifications are properly treated within the company.

Plans activities around product certification/compliance by interacting with Product Management/Product Engineering/Sourcing and Manufacturing/Customers.
Transfer knowledge around Product Safety and Compliance to all interested company dpt's.
Work with external bodies to perform Certification activities.


Responsibilities:


  • Follow up on markets requirements for electromechanical appliances and trade barriers on global countries.
  • Coordinate with Product Managers and Product Engineers on products specifications and compliance to technical, safety and performance requirements
  • Support Product Managers and Product Engineers on discussion with OEM on matters regarding safety and certifications/approvals requirements
  • Support Engineering on ETO safety compliance and certifications impact assessment, providing indication on product requirements and documentation.
  • Support Factories, Order Processing and Product Management in approving products for each market and ensure that all products meet regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with different approved test laboratories for testing & approvals as well as products registrations
  • Feed and maintain DataBase of product certificates
  • Feed and maintain DataBase of Norms, Rules and Laws related to product
  • Maintain Product Engineering and Product Management updated about Product Norms, Rules and Legislations evolution
  • Provide required technical documents, related to product safety and certification, to other regional parties whenever needed
  • Consolidate technical documentation before the expiring date
  • Participate to working committees at various levels on product regulation in the region

Requirements:


  • Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering/Environmental Engineering or equivalent
  • Able to read test reports
  • Proficient in English, fluent in Italian
  • Working knowledge of MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

***- Experience in Safety certification activities/process is an added advantage

  • Other languages German/French will be an added advantage
  • Experience in machinery compliance assessment

TRAVEL:
Available to travel to other EU sites (
1 week per month)
