They offer clients industry expertise and comprehensive, end-to-end visibility across all transport modes - sea, air, road, and rail - covering every stage from loading to customs declarations.

Founded in 2017, OVRSEA now supports over 700 clients from offices in Paris, Marseille, New York, Miami, Barcelona, and Milan. They are continuing to grow and expand internationally

Job Description
OVRSEA is a
digital freight forwarder
competing to become a leader thanks to a strong
tech approach
(proprietary TMS). We're now present in 14 countries with a revenue of 350M€.

OVRSEA has successfully launched and established its presence in Italy. After building the business from scratch, we are entering a new phase:
scaling sustainably, improving profitability, and reinforcing our market position.
We are now looking for a talented
Country Manager to lead OVRSEA Italy
into its next chapter of disciplined growth and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the founders, you will take full P&L responsibility for the Italian entity and drive performance across
sales
and
operations
.

Through a very
entrepreneurial
approach, your main objective is to contribute to OVRSEA's European leadership.

Your Responsibilities

Full P&L Ownership
Own revenue growth, gross margin, and EBITDA targets

Improve contribution margin per shipment and customer

Ensure strict cost control and productivity per FTE

Build quarterly and annual strategic plans aligned with HQ

Revenue Acceleration & Customer Expansion
Strengthen our position in core verticals

Improve win rates and pipeline predictability

Ensure disciplined pricing and margin protection

Team Leadership & Performance Management
Lead and develop a structured local team (Sales, BDR, Operations)

Drive a performance culture with clear KPIs and accountability

Coach managers and identify future leaders

Ensure high retention of top performers

Recruit where needed new top talent to the team

Operational Excellence
Collaborate with central procurement and operations teams to improve service quality

Optimise trade lane strategy and carrier allocation

Improve forecasting accuracy and capacity planning

Ensure best-in-class customer experience

Strategic Representation
Act as OVRSEA's senior representative in Italy

Maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders

Identify M&A, partnerships, or strategic expansion opportunities

Profile

  • 10+ years of experience in demanding environments (freight forwarding, logistics, startup ...)
  • Proven track record of scaling revenue beyond initial launch phase
  • Strong financial acumen with clear understanding of P&L mechanics
  • Data-driven and performance-oriented
  • Adaptable, Comfortable operating in a structured yet entrepreneurial environment
  • Humble, hard worker who is super enthusiast and shares our values (pedagogy)
  • Native Italian speaker, fluent in English (French is a plus)
