    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for all aspects of the fire suppression disciplines on site, including inspections of fire protection, fixed extinguishing and sprinkler systems.
    • Prepare Fire Suppression system design documents, such as drawings and hydraulic calculations for residential, commercial and industrial buildings, in accordance with European and Italian standards, NFPA standards and FM Global data sheets.
    • Apply fire safety and protection for various building types and occupancies, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings and retail complexes.
    • Witness testing and commissioning of fire suppression systems; conduct regular site inspections during installation and for existing systems; communicate with clients, architects, and authorities.
    • Take control of current and future projects, meet/exceed financial targets, develop key client relationships and deliver fire safety engineering solutions.
    • Be the client-facing expert, lead discussions with design teams, building control and fire service.
    • Attend industry conferences to network and stay current with trends and best practices.
    • Supervise and train graduate engineers.
    • Apply national and international legislation and standards on Fire and Life Safety within the scope of corporate interests.

    What you will work on

    • Plan and direct engineering activities for your own projects.
    • Take the technical lead role of assigned projects.
    • Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Experience in code consulting and design of fire suppression systems in a project design environment.
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in any engineering discipline (e.g., civil, mechanical, environmental, chemical).
    • Ability to work independently and mentor/manage junior professionals.
    • Italian language fluency (written and spoken) is essential; excellent English (written and spoken) required.
    • Experience with relevant engineering software (hydraulic calculation software, AutoCAD, Revit, SprinkCAD, etc.).
    • Strong report writing, interpersonal, and communication/negotiation skills; ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection strategies.
    • Registration on the lists of the Ministry of the Interior under Law 818/84 is not mandatory but may be considered as a preferential skill.
    • Proactivity, operational autonomy, empathy and customer-facing aptitude.
