POSITION


Key member to join the development offices in Roma as Knitwear Product Development Manager in charge of overseeing the development of all knitwear products (from the protos stage to final samples).

Objective is to manage all the development process and deliver all information, liaising with style, merchandising and production team.


Main Responsabilities:


  • Manage the entire product development process and timelines with constant relationship with style department
  • Build a strong relationship with the design and suppliers acting as their main point of contact throughout the development lifecycle
  • Liaise with design team to address fit issues while ensuring cost, quality and lead times are maintained.
  • Develop relationships with current and new suppliers
  • Proactively involved in R&D for yarn and new manufacturing techniques for innovation and cost containment to achieve targets;
  • Manage creation and updating of product data sheets;
  • Share technical information and support industrialization during finetuning phases
  • Deal with Quality Control office for any problems related to the materials and models developed.

PROFILE

  • At least 8 years experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of yarning and triming technics
  • Strong costing and negotiation skills
  • Strong relationship with suppliers
  • Excellent understanding of luxury finishings and strong attention to detail
  • Highly organised, ability to prioritize, manage and coordinate diverse activities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent knowledge of english language
  • Willingness to travel frequently around Italy
