LHH Recruitment Solutions on behalf of a metalworking company is looking for a figure of Strategic Buyer.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Take in charge purchasing policies and product categories assigned (such as for electronic components);
Manage commercial and contractual agreements with suppliers guaranteeing the best conditions (prices, quality and compliance with deadlines) for the assigned commodities;
Management of commercial relations with suppliers (national and international) according to Company standards and procedures;
Monitor suppliers' production, intercept bottlenecks or delays in mediumterm plans and put in place adequate actions to avoid supply chain disruptions;
Be involved in interfunctional teams with other Corporate functions and coordinate activities with suppliers for product development and research of alternatives;
Scouting, qualification and performance monitoring of suppliers assigned;
Carries out purchasing cost reports and reports on them to company stakeholders.

This position has no direct reports.

Required qualifications are:

Education, License, certification: at least Technical Secondary School Degree;
English: B2 level;
Experience: 3/5 years experience in modernly structured companies; a background in electronics or manufacturing companies working on largescale mass production will be an advantage;
Technical knowledge: use of ERP management software, advanced knowledge of the Office package (in particular Ms Excel);
Competencies: knowledge of BOM structure logic, data analysis and reporting;
Availability to travel: about 1015% of the time, mainly in Italy and Continental Europe.
