    Seasonal roleChef de Rang position at The Gritti PalaceFull-Time contract role from March to October 2024

    Responsibilities


    • Welcome guests and promptly attend to tables
    • Serve food and beverages to guests
    • Share menu knowledge and assist with questions and special requests
    • Record transactions in the MICROS system
    • Check-in with guests to assure satisfaction
    • Clean tables and restock supplies
    • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions
    • Follow cycle time guidelines for all meals
    • Maintain cleanliness of work areas
    • Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of china, glass, and silver
    Requirements


    • Fluent English and at least intermediate Italian (writing and speaking)
    • Understanding of F&B operations and luxury hospitality
    • Knowledge of Micros and Opera is preferred
    • Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented
    • Positive outlook and outgoing personality
    • Previous serving experience is a plus
    • Ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs
    • Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods
    • Professional appearance in a clean uniform
    • Completion of safety training and certification
