Your tasks

Implementation of geospatial analysis tools for information retrieval and processing, including technical analysis and evaluation of the current disaster events retrieved by the systems, thus contributing to the preparation of the daily maps and Thematic maps;
GI requirements analysis and software engineering at all stages as well as Administration of GIS software;
Conducting GI data analysis and data modelling together with monitoring and testing of the GIS architecture;
Update and maintenance of geographical databases;
GIS development and support for the GSS, Global Situation System with preparation of specific layers and automatization of procedures.

Requirements:

Master's degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with a minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience in IT;
At least 10 years of experience in Arc GIS;
Experience in the management of geographical databases and datasets including analysis and updates;
Experience in the management of map services including development, testing, and maintenance based on user requirements;
Good knowledge of GIS for the production of thematic maps;
Good knowledge of geospatial data analysis to translate scientific data into GIS maps;
Excellent command of the English language.
