Sr. Engineering Supervisor - R&D Equipment
A Day in the Life

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the product backlog, including user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria, and ensure it is uptodate and reflects the latest priorities.
  • Make decisions on behalf of stakeholders regarding the priority of features and changes, balancing technical feasibility and business value.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Hardware, System and Design Quality engineers to ensure seamless integration of software components into medical devices.
  • Ensure that all software development activities are properly documented in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
  • Support upper management to review progress and allocate budgets for software development projects.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to software engineers, fostering their professional development and growth.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the software engineering team.
  • Help troubleshoot significantly impact technical issues and provide guidance on resolving softwarerelated problems.
Minimum Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Fluent English communication skills, good command in Italian

Must Have:


  • Excellent knowledge of C and C++ programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of Design Patterns and Software Architecture Design.
  • Proficiency in eventdriven programming.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Arm Architectures
  • Good knowledge of Unit Testing and integration testing paradigms.
  • Proficiency with version control systems, specifically Git.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline techniques.
In addition to the minimum requirements, the following skills and experiences are considered advantageous:

  • Full life-cycle product development experience in the medical device industry.
  • Proficiency in Agile Program Management with Jira
  • Proficiency with QP/C++ framework.
  • Proficiency with Eclipsebased Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
  • Familiarity with the Python programming language.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning Algorithms.
  • Experience with Static Analysis tools
  • Proficiency with Qt/pyQt Framework.
  • Familiarity with Data Analysis tools including Numpy, Pandas, and Matplotlib.
  • Good understanding of IEC 62304 standards.
