For our sustainability department based in Zola Predosa (Bologna, Italy), we are looking for a Manager Social Sustainability Reporting & Data Management.

As Subject Matter Expert, your key responsibility will be to monitor performance and support the implementation of strategic initiatives to demonstrate leadership in human and labor rights.

You will be reporting to the Manager Performance and Program Delivery.


Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna (PM MTB) is Philip Morris International's Center of excellence, worldwide recognized for prototyping, mass-volume production, and employees' training on smoke-free products.

PM MTB employs more than 1000 employees and its production site of Crespellano is one of the most advanced manufacturing venues in Italy for technology innovation, competencies development and talent recognition.

Your 'day to day'

  • Deliver performance and data insights on topics related to human rights and human rights due diligence framework applicable to PMI's relevant functions. This includes demonstrated experience on child labor and forced labor prevention programs, living wage/income, responsible sourcing, supply chain management, and access to remedy initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of relevant current and upcoming legislations on social sustainability and human rights, in particular reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate planning and deployment of due diligence and assurance frameworks with relevant partners for social sustainability programs.
  • Monitor social related data and indicators including data analytics and trends, identifying gaps and opportunities to meet targets/goals, and coordinating action plan definition and delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate the preparation of external reporting submissions related to social sustainability, e.g. integrated report, modern slavery statements as well as develop standalone relevant reports etc.
  • Participate in internal and external partner engagements (incl. working groups, coalitions).

Who we're looking for:

  • Master's degree in social science, business management, or other related degree with a specialization in Social Sustainability and/or Human Rights
  • 57 years of practical experience in social related Sustainability Programs and/or human and labor rights in supply chains preferably within FMCG
  • Strong experience in responsible sourcing and supply chain management, preferably related to indirect materials and services (IM&S) or electronics.
  • Strong knowledge and operational experience in human right due diligence systems, including on child labor remediation/ elimination, living wage/income, and access to remedy initiatives.

  • Ability to pass messages in a concise and clear way and to present in an effective way
  • Effective written communication
  • English proficient; Italian proficient is a plus
