Your 'day to day':


As Maintenance Coordinator you will be part of our Technical Service department for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.

A.. and will be reporting to the Workshop Lead. The position will be based in Bologna.

In your role, You will be responsible for scheduling maintenance works and prepare documents for maintenance execution.

You will be responsible also from issuing to completion of all maintenance work order and defining maintenance opportunities with maintenance personnel.

You will provides maintenance performance indicators to engineers for analysis and he proposes maintenance strategy improvements to Reliability Engineers. If necessary, he works on shift in order to better coordinate maintenance activities execution.


Specific responsibilities include:

  • Schedule maintennace activities and assure execution in line with maintenance plan. Review and discuss all maintenance works on SAP-PM with relevant PM MTB personnel and / or contarctors. Update Preventive Maintenance Routines in SAP PM / Excel file in line with Reliability Engineers recommendations
  • Produce maintenance work orders defining the instructions by considering safety, type of work, spare part requirements, resource and duration.
  • Support Reliability Engineer(s) by defining best applicable periodical maintenance dates and monitor activity actualization.
  • Prepare the documents for maintenance meeting and orders for maintenance execution.
  • Ensure that all statutory checks are undertaken and complete records of all checks and tests.
  • Ensure the issuing, distribution and collection of maintenance work orders and records relating to maintenance activities completed on time and recorded in SAP PM accordingly.
  • Liaise with Production and Process Support teams on maintenance opportunities and status of current activities performed by PM MTB and contracted resources. Provide support to Process Support and Technical Services in the analysis of asset and key maintenance performance indicators.
  • Ensure that EHS is integrated into all activities and adherence to EHS Policy & Procedure is strictly maintained.

Requirements & Skills:

  • University degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or equivalent scientific disciplines or equivalent skills through demonstrated experience
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in following work area or relevant fields production, maintenance. Planning or/and scheduling experience
  • Good understanding and knowledge of relevant maintenance and production processes.
  • Good analytical thinking skills
