Your 'day to day'


In your role, you will analyze the processes using data analytic tools to map the line losses and you will be responsible to create loss elimination glidepath.

You will also lead and ensure autonomous/self-sufficient team's compliance to all standard Warehousing&Logistics RTT/OPEN+ Systems and tools according to phase requirements of Site.

Finally, you will be the process expert in problem solving and on floor troubleshooting.

You will be part of the Factory Service department of Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.
A. and will be reporting to the Warehouse Operations Lead. The position is based in the plant of Crespellano, Bologna.


Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all LSP and PMI warehousing team comply with all PMI and legal standards, policies and guidelines related to Environment, Health, Safety, Sustainability to prevent personnel, asset or societal loss. Act and promote an interdependent and transparent safety culture in LSP and PMI warehousing team by fostering the utilization of preventive/predictive approach in line with Warehousing&Logistics RTT/Open+/IOS
  • Oversight and own the process of Work Process Compliance being sure that it is properly deployed and that is the most effective to standardize the way of working. Create, establish and review preferred methods (PM) to define the operational procedures. Track and review the quality of the processes by creating and conducting PM behaviour observations on the shopfloor. Update the PMs by work process improvement initiatives to reach highest quality in the processes
  • Execute PM BOS's on the shopfloor to identify, propose and deploy WPI initiatives to achieve loss elimination in warehousing processes. Lead the Capacity Management and Zoning/Slotting DMS's to reach the ideal capacity utilization level in the layout and lowest travel time in operations. Support the establishment of the productivity glidepath, focus on delivering productivity targets by eliminating losses in processes related to Facilities Management and Other SVC, Overtime. Communicate in timely manner on loss elimination priorities, plans and responsibilities to ensure crossfunctional alignment. Share knowledge and methods to encourage and foster benchmarking and continuous improvement
  • Coach the team to create the capabilities in preferred methods, problem solving and loss 2 /4 elimination. Promote and validate loss elimination initiatives/Kaizens raised by teams by executing adequate risk assessments. Take responsibility for the completion of own training plan and comply with the requirements established in the Qualification Matrix

Who we're looking for:

  • University Degree in Logistics, Commerce, IT or Engineering
  • 2 years of professional experience in Operations
  • Proficiency in MS Office Package, SAP, LES/MES, IMEL
  • Knowledge of OPEN +/Warehousing&Logistics RTT methodology and 3rd party contracted team management including legal/regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication, negotiation, ability to coach, teamwork and intercultural competence. Action orientation, analytical thinking, priority setting and strong drive for results.
  • Fluency in English and Italian both written and spoken
