We have an opportunity for a EH&S Specialist to join our Bovisio Masciago's Plant in Monza-Brianza.

The EHS Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental health and safety programs, ensuring that these programs are effective and compliant with all relevant EHS local regulations and Pentair EHS Standards.

Essential Job Functions

Plan

  • Identify, evaluate and assess EHS risks in collaboration with RSPP
  • Maintain, review, and update the EHS risk assessment document (DVR) and supplier documents (DUVRI)
  • Plan periodic training on EHS topics to site population
Do

  • Develop safety procedures and work instructions for the work activities
  • Organize and perform EHS training activities for employees (EHS induction for new hired, mandatory EHS training, emergency training, supervisors' training)
  • Coordinate main EHS project (e.g. machine safety and LOTO program, ISO 14001 and 45001 implementation) in collaboration with other key functions
  • In cooperation with the Occupational Doctor ensure that an appropriate medical surveillance is in place
  • Work as waste coordinator, managing the storage and disposal of wastes and materials, in cooperation with all functions managers
  • Support the plant in developing and implementing the Corporate EHS initiatives
  • Interface with external RSSP and other consultants for the execution of specific activities
  • Work with local authorities in the execution of regulatory tasks
Check

  • Perform EHS audits in the shop floor to check EHS compliance and enforce EHS culture
  • Ensure that EHS action plans are updated and on track
  • Report the EHS data (near miss, safety observations etc.) and KPI result as requested into the appropriate system
Act

  • Identify the countermeasures to the health and safety issues in the workplace
  • Conduct injury investigation and develop root cause analysis (RCCM)
  • Cooperate with other functions (e

g:
Engineering, Facility) to improve workplace conditions


Key Qualifications:

  • University degree education or equivalent culture
  • 2 years of experience as a EHS specialist
  • ASPP qualification is a plus
  • Good knowledge of main Italian safety standards and environmental regulations
  • Good in spoken and written English
  • PC skills and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Desired characteristics:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (such as painting, welding, assembly)
  • Good observation and auditing skills
  • Wellversed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office)
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent communications skills (read, write and speak) in order to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Promotes teamwork and collaboration.
  • Strong analytical problemsolving skills.
  • Must be proactive, creative and a handson change agent.
  • Goal oriented and able to complete assignments on time
