We are looking for a talented EHS - SPECIALIST to join the Services Italy Regional and Locomotive business unit.


Purpose of the job:
Ensure a safe and healthy environment.

Minimize impacts on Environment due the business process.

Reduce risks of business interruption.


Key accountabilities:

EHS topics
Cooperate with colleagues, customer and contractors to achieve EHS objectives.

Support EHS Manager to perform EHS Risk Assessment and to define appropriate measures to control risks.

Support EHS Manager to prepare, implement and maintain emergency plans.

Assist EHS Manager to coordinate and control activities with respect of EHS, especially where are contractors.

Provide support and advice to site personnel to prevent injury, damage to plant and equipment, fire, environmental pollution.

Recognize best practices and analyze returns of experience.

React to violations to regulations and Alstom Standards.

Advise other Site personnel on all aspects of EHS applicable requirements.


EHS Management System


Support EHS Manager to develop, deploy and maintain the local procedures and tools and make sure they are aligned with Alstom Standards and international standards (ISO 14001 and ISO45001).


Support EHS Manager to ensure that Alstom EHS standards and tools (AZDP, TOP_E, Transport Key processes) are deployed at Site level.


EHS Compliance
Support EHS Manager to ensure compliance of the site activities according to the EHS Plan, guidelines and work instructions.

Perform EHS legal compliance checks for specific requirements.

Verify and monitor the compliance of the workplace

Support EHS Manager relating health surveillance.

Support EHS Manager relating EHS training.


EHS culture


Inform, instruct and train employees to carry out the work in safe & environment-friendly mode according to the method of statement.


Participate in the implementation of the EHS training programs by providing EHS inductions and ensuring Tool Box meetings are organized.


Report, Measure & Review
Support EHS Manager to capture, report, record, investigate and analyze accidents/incidents in order to implement corrective and preventive actions.

Support the preparation of monthly EHS reports.

Can be in charge of feeding EHS Teranga reporting system in line with Group reporting requirements and under control by EHS Manager.

Carry out inspections of work areas and carry out EHS audits and report any discrepancy.


Educational Requirements and Experience
Engineering bachelor or equivalent experience

Health & Safety Qualification recognized by the enforcing authorities.

Experience of almost 1 year in Environment, Health & Safety

Highly recommended experience for maintenance sites

Good knowledge and understanding of ISO14001 and ISO45001

Deep knowledge of local EHS requirements

Availability to TRAVEL across Italy for 40-50
% of the working time is mandatory
