Job Description Summary:

At Avio Aero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years.

We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.


AvioAero is reinforcing the focus to excellence in aeronautical Controls and Accessories for Engine & Mechanical Transmissions (ie accessory drivetrains, turboprop reduction gearboxes, geared engines, helicopter reduction gearboxes, etc).


In this spirit, we are looking for a talented and experienced Fluidic Component Designer, expected to design, support production and customers in activities within the Controls and Accessories Engineering organization, related to control systems, gearbox and engine components.


The position is requiring important involvement into technical assessment and management of system development through a deep collaboration with the Engineering and System departments and activities aimed at developing and supporting accessories and control product and component producibility.


Essential Responsibilities
As Fluidic Design Engineer you will be part of Engineering Accessories team.

In this position you will be in charge to:


  • Presize and define mechanical features of fluidic accessories
  • Release and manage technical requirements of components like pumps, filters, valves (thermal, bypass and relief), strainers, heat exchangers/cooling fans and sensors (pressure and temperature)
  • Present design deliverables on main reviews
  • Prepare test plan and pass criteria definition
  • Post process data acquiring, elaborating, deducing and correlating with physics phenomena
  • Support investigations identifying root causes
  • Definition of fluidic component design intent, leading analysis and addressing test in order to design, produce, procure and validate fluidic Accessories
  • Preparation of review with synthesis having details to be shown, if necessary.
  • Proposal of different component tradeoff and creating scorecard for final selection

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university
  • Experience on fluidic System component (valves, filters, pipes, accessories, sensors, heat exchangers) and Fluidic systems (fuel, oil, air) preferably in engineering section
  • Knowledge of CAD (modeling) ,drafting and Geometrical Dimensional & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Proficiency in written and oral English
  • Knowledge of Office (Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Capability to interface with internal departments and to manage technical relationship with external companies, Suppliers and Customers.
  • Active Team working capabilities
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
