    Job Summary:

    Altair Engineering is seeking an Intern to join its Learning Experience Design team focusing on Simulation and High-Performance Computing.


    The Intern will work with the Learning team as well as Subject Matter Experts and Program Management stakeholders to create and/or validate materials for our training packages.


    This includes core content development and evaluation for training formats used by the Learning team team, evaluating and updating engineering simulation workflows for selected materials, and gaining proficiency in software used for engineering simulation and high-performance computing operations.

    The individual in this role will use sound technical skills to meet organizational learning objectives.


    The Learning Design Specialist is responsible for the development of technical training material, it includes working with Product Managers and Experts as necessary.

    What You Will Do:

    Gain appropriate knowledge and content

    Design, create and maintain technical training material strategy as needed

    Ensure the latest workflows, features/tools, enhancements, and methodologies are captured appropriately

    Work with Experts to gain feedback on existing material

    Maintain consistent formatting across all material

    Assist with updating practices included with the delivery of the products

    Learn new features/tools as they are released

    Set/Lead meeting with Specialists worldwide

    What You Will Need:

    Basics:

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical field such as: Mechanical/Aerospace/Biomedical Engineer etc.

    Good knowledge of mechanical properties

    Good knowledge of the Office suite

    Knowledge of computer-aided design software (FEM)

    Good level of English language (speaking, listening, writing)

    Good time management skills

    Analytical mindset, good written and verbal communication skills

    Ability and curiosity to link the daily activities to the bigger picture

    Team working and leadership skill

    Available to travel

    Comfortable with technology (communication tools)

    Fluent in Italian and English in writing and speaking is mandatory

    Preferred:

    Working knowledge of Altair Solutions products like HyperWorks, OptiStruct, Radioss, or any other Solver

    Knowledge and experience with any other type of FEM software/solver

    Advanced knowledge of FEA

    Classroom (virtual, in-person) training experience

    Training material creation experience a plus

    Proven experience in a similar role with designing, implementation and execution of the learning and development strategy in a multinational environment

    Eager to take responsibility and drive the responsibilities with autonomy

    Strong fundamental knowledge of modeling best practices

    Excellent communication and time management skills

    Teach classes as necessary internally or to customers
