Within the ABSER FABR Business Line, we are looking for a

Fabrication production manager

Mission
Ensure the execution of fabrication production activities, both performed by subcontractors or in direct hiring;
making sure that safety, quality, time, cost and yields requirements are met.

Tasks

  • Promote safe work practices and environmental protection, ensuring that safety and quality standards are respected
  • Participate in project planning and scheduling, liaising for this purpose with other organization and functions involved in executing the project and assuring the most suitable solutions in terms of construction methods.
  • Plan and control production tools, equipment and personnel needed to execute fabrication projects' activities, ensuring overall resource optimization
  • Participate, insofar as within remit and liaison with Quality, to quality control and quality improvement activities
  • Participate, insofar as within remit and liaison with HSE, in the preparation of the general HSE
  • Participate to the updating of work schedules
  • Plan, the HSE Plan for the construction and the HSE Manual for the activities within own area of responsibility
  • Participate to the updating of work scheduling
  • Prepare production personnel mobilization plan
  • Assure that the procedures defined for the site activities are applied
  • Supervise the work performed both subcontractors or in direct hiring, approving production work progress
  • Check production work progress, identifying any critical aspects and, where construction activities are subcontracted requesting necessary actions from the subcontractor concerned
  • Ensure coordination of all disciplines involved in the work up to Precommissioning/Mechanical Completions
  • Assist the Commissioning department during commissioning and startup phases (when applicable)
  • Contribute to continuous improvement process through the provision of suggestions regarding methodologies, tools and material management
  • Optimize layouts, material flow and workplace ergonomics
  • Ensure respect of order and cleanness of production spaces
  • Participate in the definition of production and maintenance plan interacting with responsible department
  • Identify criticalities during yard activities, promote and implement all required countermeasures quantifying impact in term of cost and schedule
  • Manage project warehouse material

Requirements:


  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in the same or similar role with International Main Contracting &
Engineering Companies.

  • Detailed knowledge, with direct experience with this sector
  • English speaking and writing proficiency
  • Availability to travel abroad to offices and construction site

Contract type:

permanent, salary package commensurate with the level of experience
