THE ROLE


As Analyst Intern with the Board & CEO practice in the Italian office, you will play a critical and visible role on the team.


You will create impact by gathering information and developing insights on board composition and governance of publicly listed companies across Italy.

You will be responsible for analyzing the latest development of corporate governance practices, compensation and regulatory updates for top Italian companies.

The work is functional for the annual publication of the Italian Board Index, a flagship Spencer Stuart publication issued yearly.

You will work with large datasets, generate data driven insights and trends for the practice, working together with colleagues in the EMEA Region.

You will also be called upon to help produce industry and/or functional analysis in support of national and/or cross-border regional search engagements and new business initiatives

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will focus on the following:

  • Support the 2023 Spencer Stuart Italian Board Index program; building and managing large data sets including data collection, maintaining data quality and analysis to produce insights on board composition, board governance trends and director compensation.
  • Track daily changes in board structure and composition, follow stock exchange press releases, and update corresponding mapping.
  • Maintain tools and systems to assist in increased sharing and collaboration across the practice by organizing and disseminating client development-related information and materials.
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with a broad range of colleagues, including peer Board and CEO Practice Analysts across the EMEA Region as well as Practice Client Development Team and Italian Office Research Team.
  • Support the Board Research staff on day-to-day activities.

IDEAL PROFILE- Soon to be Master's degree graduate, with strong academic performance. Degree in a related field, typically Economics or Business, with solid understanding of Financial, Accounting and Statistics concepts- Experience using Excel, Tableau and PowerPoint programs- Experience in analyzing and synthesizing data into defined formats- Fluent spoken and written Italian and English- Familiarity with Corporate Governance and Corporate Law would be a plus
