    Your Role:
    The Student Services Assistant reports to both the Assistant Director and Center Director. This temporary and full-time position supports students through everyday duties regarding student life, Italian and Florentine culture, community integration, and assists with activities and excursions.

    Responsibilities:
    - Serve as the first point of reference to students for questions and general inquiries
    - Engage with students to gauge their morale, issues they face, concerns, and keep Florence staff updated
    - Support students throughout the program session
    - Accompany students to local appointments as necessary
    - Assist and collaborate with the Program Assistant for smooth execution of local student activities and excursions; may require chaperone duty
    - Assist the Housing Coordinator with housing maintenance issues, working towards resolution; may include visits to student apartments
    - Help with student arrivals and reception desk duties: receiving phone calls, visitors, mail, packages
    - Ensure CEA written materials are up-to-date and provide students with weekly or bi-monthly newsletters of goings-on in Florence and beyond
    - Remind students to check-in using our Onsolve app to allow CEA CAPA staff to provide assistance during weekend travel
    - Participate in weekly staff meetings
    - Liaise with outside vendors as needed
    - Participate in emergency phone rotation

    Requirements:
    - Laurea or Bachelor's degree required
    - Fluency in spoken and written English and Italian
    - Authorization to work in Italy
    - Prior experience and passion for working with young adults
    - 2+ years of experience in a study abroad environment as staff
    - Solid computer abilities and comfort using a PC (Microsoft); no fear of IT troubleshooting

    Soft Skills:
    - Knowledge and familiarity of Florence and its cultural offerings
    - Ability to address daily work and unanticipated situations
    - Display excellent communication and organizational skills
    - Attention to detail and particularly to customer service standards
    - Exhibit flexibility when scheduling requires, and in facing unforeseen challenges during a work day
    - Skilled as both an independent worker and in working in a team; collaborative and able to work towards a common goal with a good sense of humor
