We are looking for a
Sustainability Intern to join our Sustainable Development Team within Arup Milan Office.


Role

  • Support in the development of sustainable energy solutions through interdisciplinary cooperation with other Arup departments (e.g. architecture, façade, urban planning, etc.)
  • Support during competition and early design stage phases focusing on decarbonization and in particular on embodied carbon
  • Support in material analysis with a circular approach
  • Support during LEED/WELL design process

Requirements:


Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Attending last year (or later) of Master's degree in engineering or architecture or other relevant fields of study
  • Understanding of main aspects of low carbon strategies for buildings and masterplans (embodied and operational)
  • Understanding of main aspects of circular economy
  • Understanding of main aspects of environmental certifications (e.g. LEED, WELL, BREEAM)
  • Good level of English & Italian
  • Systems thinking analytical capabilities
  • Skills for working in multidisciplinary teams

Desirable skills and knowledge

  • Embodied carbon tool (e.g. OneClick)
  • Rhino/Grasshopper/Galapagos/Karamba/Ladybug
  • Revit (e.g. Rooms/Spaces, colorplan, parameters modification, data extraction)
  • Digital skills including data extraction and interoperability between software
  • Second foreign language is a plus
  • International study/work experience is a plus.
