Procurement Specialist (Temp 12 months):


Job Summary
This position directly affects the Parts availability across AGCO's customer network mainly in EAME but also in other regions. AGCO Parts main Supply Chain KPI is to deliver best in class system fill.

The Procurement Specialist has a direct influence over this area for the parts and suppliers managed by the role holder.

Poor judgment in decision making harms the delivery of Fill KPI and results in high back order levels.

Failure to deliver AGCO Parts objectives can also damage the perception of the AGCO brands - impacting all areas of the business.


The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with external suppliers across the globe to ensure a sustainable delivery performance according to the contractual agreement with the supplier.

On-time delivery for 3rd Party deliveries has a direct impact on AGCO Parts availability.


To manage and develop a range of suppliers across the world to ensure that the purchase order schedules are met on time and in the requested quantity.

This position directly affects the Parts availability across AGCO's customer network mainly in EAME but also in other regions.

To execute planning for a wide range of part numbers for each warehouse location using AGCO Parts' MRP system. To expedite open Purchase orders in case of unexpected demand increases.

The role is responsible for the daily execution of the planning to ensure Parts availability and to manage the resolution of the customer backorder lines in close collaboration with Customer Services if required.


To work closely with Forecasting& Planning, Purchasing and Logistics to ensure a smooth inbound supply chain process considering AGCO Parts requirements and suppliers.

To collaborate with the supplier, Operations and Finance to resolve 3rd party discrepancies.

The role holder will be responsible for investigating the root cause of the discrepancy and communication to the relevant functions.


Responsibilities:


Executing the daily planning of managed parts using the MRP system to secure and maintain safety levels for the parts managed by the respective team member.


Responsible for the management of the supplier's delivery schedule and open purchase orders, the role holder must expedite, confirm according to lead-time, amend and negotiate as required.


Minimize the number of past due purchase orders according to the agreed lead-time with the supplier and be responsible for the short, medium and long term performance of the supplier.

Resolution of customer backorder lines for parts managed.

Resolution of 3rd Party grief / discrepancy issues

Track own performance through KPI tracking as agreed with the Procurement Supervisor including preparation and regular reviews.


The Procurement Specialist will be expected to operate under their own initiative and work under pressure given the nature of the role.

The position requires the prioritization of tasks and management of workload in an organized and methodical manner and the occupant must be capable of dealing with pressure from internal and external stakeholders and have the ability to react in a firm manner when required.

Internal and external stakeholders will regularly approach the role holder for information exchange.

The Procurement Specialist will be representing AGCO Parts in meetings with external suppliers and thus is required to be an effective, able communicator.

Good presentation skills are necessary in the role.


The role holder will be required to build a wide network of contacts inside the organization given the breadth of functions interlinked with this position.

Being a team player is an integral part of this role.


Minimum Qualifications
It is important that the role-holder possesses detailed understanding of AGCO Parts' Supply Chain. The role-holder will interact with a number of functions across the whole supply chain on a daily basis (i.e. Operations, Purchasing, Forecasting & Planning, Customer Services, IT and Finance).

Some knowledge of the processes and organizations along the Supply Chain is required to perform the responsibilities of the role in an efficient manner.

This role requires a good understanding of AGCO Parts' supplier base and management.

It is vital that the role holder has experience in managing procurement activities with third party vendors that supply spare parts to an organization in order to maximize the value of those interactions.

The objective is to create closer, more collaborative relationships with key suppliers in order to reduce risk of failure.


The role holder will be expected to understand the relationship and related processes between internal Production/ Factories and the Spare Parts organization.
