Group Financial Controller

Job Summary and Mission:

We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Controller to be included in the Finance area, based in Padova (HQ).

S/he will be part of the Group Business Controlling department and reporting to the Group Business Planning & Reporting Manager, s/he will contribute to the key analysis and controlling initiatives of Safilo on Overheads / Capex at group level, as well be the key point of contact for market subsidiaries and different HQ functions.

Key Accountabilities:

Provide first in class controlling activities on group Overhead and Capex, acting as business partner for the functional leaders, by monitoring deviations to target, planning and performing review sessions with multiple actors, ensuring completeness, accuracy and timely delivery of financial reporting and analysis
Support the Group's financial planning activities and coordination with all Italian and foreign subsidiaries for Overhead and Capex on daybyday basis
Preparation of detailed review / report / analysis on a monthly basis of actual results for both internal use and management presentations in order to give to the top management an accurate understanding of the Overheads and Capex financial situation
Perform and contribute to the monthend closing process and related activities (e.g. accruals, ICO recharges and adjustments, ensuring compliance of accounting and internal control rules). Monitor the Group monthly closing process by contributing in overseeing the subsidiaries reconciliation and preparing business KPI's
Lead budget and forecast process of Overheads, including ICO recharges, and Capex for HQ and consolidated analysis and reporting at Group level
Overview and Approval of HQ Purchase to Pay process, overview and support to Group and Internal Audit reporting requirements
Drive continuous improvement of tools, reports and processes

Desired Skills & Experiences:

Master Degree Graduation in Finance, Business Administration or similar fields
Preferred at least 2 years' experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, Controlling or anyway in analytical roles in F&A of multinational companies
Preferred experience in global forecasting and reporting tools, Oracle, SAP
Very strong analytical skills (e.g. Scenario analysis, data modelling)
Strong communication skills
Fluency in English
Advanced MS Excel skills

Flexibility to understand different perspectives
Team player, positive attitude and willingness to learn and share competencies
