We are looking for a
to join our
Junior Accountant within Arup's Milan Office.


Your role:

The purpose of this role is to support and assist the team with various financial tasks within the organization.

This role has the following areas of focus:

  • Recording and reconciling financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices, expense claims, and other financial documents
  • Maintaining accurate and uptodate financial records in the accounting system
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly tax payments and compliance with tax regulations
  • Supporting the monthend and yearend closing processes
  • Assisting in financial audits and ensuring compliance with internal controls
  • Conducting regular reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card statements
  • Assisting in the analysis of financial data and preparing financial reports
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and resolve discrepancies
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of financial procedures and policies
  • Keeping uptodate with accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends

Requirements:


  • Fluency in both Italian and English
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Previous experience in accounting or finance roles is preferred
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Italian accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information
