Our vision for Marketing at BD


The purpose of the Marketing department at BD is to drive balanced profitable growth by defining, performing and continually improving the global marketing and business strategies of BD.

We engage in critical thinking to advise high-quality marketing choices that drive our growth.


Main responsibilities will include:


  • Serve as a link between the Marketing and the Commercial Operation functions.
  • Drive discovery from both a qualitative and quantitative context to build solid, data driven, business plans and strategies in Diabetes Care business and adjacencies.
  • Actively engage with multiple departments across our organization, including country functions as Finance, Customer, Tender Office, Medical and Sales but also with HQ. Clearly articulate product marketing strategy to a wide range of internal and external collaborators.
  • Working with Sales Account Managers Team to articulate analytics needs and find opportunities for new analytics capabilities for optimizing user/customer lifecycle management.
  • Establish search, tools and analytics capabilities as a key differentiator for the products, crafting a leadership position within the Diabetes Care market in Italy & Greece.
  • Support the Account Management Team particularly for large deals or partnerships and in creation of content required to train Sales staff about analytics and business reporting.
  • Build analytical capabilities to drive key decision making in each current of future business partnerships.
  • Use analytics to help understand business results, including tender pricing initiatives/simulations, and marketing campaigns, digital included.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of the product team, procedures, and processes by identifying shortcomings, gaps.
  • Develop in full collaboration with Commercial Operations of detailed analysis of Diabetes Care market, customer needs, competitors, economic environment, and business opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage.
  • Strong familiarity with data preparation, processing, classification, and forecasting.
  • This role will require the ability to be flexible and balance multiple priorities and tasks.

About you:


  • Bachelor's or Master' s degree (economics, technical major preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Finance or Management Consulting.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Hands on understanding of data modeling, data manipulation, and the challenges associated with traditional Business Intelligence tools like
    SAP Business Objects, SFDC, Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, Python, Hive, but also web analytics experience
    (Omniture, Google Analytics)

  • Demeanour and dedication to continuous learning are indispensable.
  • A strong competence for analyzing data to make business decisions in an inventive manner.
  • Diabetes experience is an asset.
