  • Within the global production and country strategy and guidelines, the Plant Manager, directs, plans, organizes, develops & controls all activities of the Operations function (Production, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, SC, Engineering) in order to meet short, medium and long term Operations goals, whilst complying with Quality Assurance and customer requirements, rules, laws and regulations.
  • Plant Manager has responsibility for the Safety, Quality, Environmental Impact, Service and Financial results of the site.
  • Main stakeholders: Sales, R&D, Central Planning, SC, Regional QA/Engineering, Finance in order to deliver the Required Service to the customers, creating new products, to achieve high performances with a good Cost Control.
  • Defining the long term strategy and set up of the Plant, defining valuable Capex projects.
  • Looking for oversites productivity and transferring products.
    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
  • Lead, direct, and control the daytoday activities of the factory to achieve the operational and financial objectives on short and mediumterm in line with the overall Corporate Business plan (daily)
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of Functional and Operational Managers or other professionals (for example Controlling, IT, SC) to ensure that the plant meets its established targets and standards. (daily)
  • Responsible for activities such as Manufacturing, Safety, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance Controlling, IT and administration (daily)
  • Establish operating budgets; monitor the cost and effectiveness of production activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve volume, quality, and manufacturing standards.(yearly)
  • Defines mission and strategy of the site in line with the EMEA OSCO strategy
  • Defines with the Intra Team strategy deployment initiatives (yearly)
  • Set, and monitor the performance of the Plant against standards and targets in areas such as manufacturing and administration efficiency, cost control (budget process, controlling, measurement, KPI management), legal compliance, and human resource management.(weekly)
  • Initiate and follow up of Productivity and Continuous Improvement Projects (monthly)
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the plant's production capabilities.(monthly)
  • Lead and build the site team and coordinate the development of capabilities( quarterly)
  • Set short and medium term strategy for the plant in line with OSCO strategy including Continuous Improvement, Quality and Safety (Yearly).
  • Ensure in
- and outbound materials are in line with agreed Quality/Safety requirements and delivered on time to secure the production (daily)

  • Manages all key stakeholder relationships for the site (weekly)
  • Responsible for execution of Regional and Corporate projects on local level (monthly)
  • Responsible for legal compliance and risk management for the site
  • Total yearly budget : 9 MIO Euro Operational Cost
  • Production activity: 63,000 T

Scope:


  • Intra (Verbania), Italy
  • Liquid production and solid production of Chocolate and Compounds fillings
  • 5 liquid lines, 5 solid lines including cremas, powders and Granella
tons of liquid activity and tons of solid activity.

  • Serving mostly Italian and Swiss market, supporting the European network

EDUCATION, LANGUAGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master Degree in Engineering, Food Science or similar 12+ years of experience in a production environment including food manufacturing methods, process improvement program and procedures Experience in Project Management and Leadership Continuous Improvement
  • Strong technical background with business and people management skills
  • Practical Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience in Project Management and Leadership Continuous Improvement
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office Suite and SAP
  • Languages: Italian & English professional
  • Experience in Leading operational t
