Duties:


  • Uses student achievement data and related data to make decisions regarding the school improvement plan, teacher professional development requirements, and programmatic changes.
  • Establishes DoDEA educator performance elements and evaluates teacher work.
  • Initiates communications between school administration, students, teachers, parents, the local community, and base offices that provide services to the school and/or staff.
  • Serves as the responsible officer for all governmentowned or leased property assigned to the school.

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Direct deposit of pay is required.
  • Twoyear trial or probationary period may be required.
  • Twoyear supervisory probation period may be required.
  • This position requires a Tier 3 (T3) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • You may be required to sign a transportation agreement.
  • You will be required to sign a mobility agreement, be available for worldwide placement, and be willing to rotate to any DoDEA location.
  • Individuals hired from the Continental United States (CONUS) and their family members (who are US citizens) are required to obtain Official Passports prior to departure to the overseas area.
  • Individuals assigned to Italy, England, or Korea, are required to obtain a visa to enter these countries.
  • A secret security clearance is required.

Minimum Education Requirements for a Principal:
A Master's degree in Educational Administration/Educational Leadership

  • OR
  • A Master's degree reflecting 30 semester hours of graduate level course work. Of the required 30 hours of graduate level course work, a minimum of 20 of those semester hours must be Educational Administration/Educational Leadership.
  • In addition to the requirements listed above, you must also meet the requirements listed below:

  • General Experience Requirements for a Principal:A minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching, specialist, or other professional educatorexperience at the Pre-K -12 level is required.

Specialized Experience Requirements for a Principal:A minimum of two years appropriate experience (elementary and/or secondary) in a staff or supervisory position which clearly demonstrated the ability to administer school educational programs and to effectively supervise educators and support personnel. No more than one year of experience in positions that did not involve actual school administration will be credited as specialized experience.

Professional Licensure/Certification Requirement: Applicants must be currently certified or certifiable under the current DoDEA standards as a Principal, Middle (category You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Education:
