- Manage the achievement of targets in terms of volume, turnover and profitability of the assigned categories and provide P&L forecast in line with the assigned budget;
- Define and agree the Category Plans, working on all retailing mix leverages (pricing, assortment, innovation, promotional activities) in line with Trade Marketing guidelines and National/Local customer deals, negotiating directly with the customer for the relevant categories;
- Support the Customer Team Director in preparing the yearly National Agreement & T2T meetings;
- Work with Local Key Accounts and District Managers to create plans for the assigned categories that strengthen customer relationships and ensure plans' execution and implementation at national and regional level;
- Ensure the development and implementation of in-store category plans, collaborating with Field Sales Force;
- Promote category management and space allocation projects with customers, involving Trade Marketing;
- Ensure the execution of category-related projects and activities on the e-Commerce customer channel;
- Provide category analysis with customer data and use insight data to develop category plans, identifying performance gaps and opportunities;
- Identify opportunities and facilitate agile cross-functional work on the category, unlocking barriers to efficiency.
- Degree qualified with 5+ years of sales experience, preferably within FMCG.
- Successful negotiator, you can demonstrate the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships internally and externally.
- Ability to deliver value to the customer and Barilla by introducing and building innovative plans and strategies.
- Ability to adapt to and embrace change in a fast-paced environment and using own initiative to solve problems both for the customer and wider business.
- Ability to interpret market and competitor data and to translate into business strategy.
- Project management experience paired with strong analytical skills and an agile mindset.
- Fluency in English and Italian.
- The Key Account Category Developer reports to the Customer Team Director.
- Location: Parma. We offer hybrid working as a mix of working remotely and from the office.
- The expected starting date is February 2024, with a full-time permanent contract.

We are looking for the next Key Account Manager to join our Customer Management team in Region Italy.
The successful candidate will be responsible to develop category plans designed to maximize the performance of the assigned categories, in accordance with Barilla category strategy and defined budget. Being responsible to achieve category targets in terms of volume, turnover and profitability, he/she will be in charge of the negotiation and agreement of category plans with the customer.
