Bilingual European School in Milan in Italy has over 450 students in Primary and Middle School. In Middle School, our learning is delivered 40% in English and 60% in Italian. Part of our Maths and Technology curriculum is taught in English.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery: Develop and deliver well-structured English and Global Perspectives lessons in alignment with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.

Global Perspectives:Introduce students to global issues, encourage critical thinking, and facilitate discussions on topics such as sustainability, social justice, and cultural diversity.

English Language Skills:Enhance students' English language skills, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and listening within the context of global issues.

Assessment and Feedback:Assess student performance through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.

Innovation: Integrate innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance the learning experience and promote student engagement.

Differentiated Instruction:Cater to the diverse needs of students by implementing differentiated instruction strategies, ensuring that all learners make progress.

Classroom Management:Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect and supports the emotional well-being of students.

Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with best practices in English and Global Perspectives education.

Parent Communication:Collaborate with parents to provide regular updates on students' progress and communicate any concerns or achievements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or related field (Master's preferred).
Teaching certification or qualifications.
Previous experience teaching English and Global Perspectives, preferably in a middle school setting.
Strong knowledge of global issues and perspectives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to fostering a multicultural and inclusive learning environment.
Ability to inspire and motivate students to become responsible global citizens.
Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and tools.
