Your role:


As the Manager of Data Partnerships, you will be a key player in expanding our Data Partner network, creating new relationships, and elevating existing ones to new heights.

Your role involves negotiating terms, closing agreements, and ensuring seamless collaboration with Data Partners.

You'll work closely with our Data Science team to drive successful RWD customer projects, ultimately contributing to advancements in drug development.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Search and recruit new Data Partners, primarily in Italy and Europe, with the ability to expand to other geographical areas as needed.
  • Upscale existing Data Partner contracts into Tiered Architecture/Strategic Data Partnerships.
  • Lead negotiations, finalize agreements, and manage ongoing relationships with Data Partners.
  • Develop and implement BC Platforms' global Data Partner strategy and goals in the Italian and European markets.
  • Work closely with the Customer Success function to ensure rapid data readiness for Data Partnerships.
  • Manage the full maturation of Data Partner accounts, including engagement with the BC Platforms sales team.
  • Influence and drive partner responsiveness within a collaborative business structure.

Critical Success Factors & Key Challenges:

  • Proven track record in collaborating with nonprofit and for-profit partnerships.
  • Strong partnership management skills with the ability to achieve shared business targets.
  • Highly motivated, independent worker capable of handling multiple Data Partnership opportunities simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to a fastpaced, entrepreneurial, and global environment with flexibility to work across time zones.

Knowledge, Experience, and Capabilities:


  • Bachelor's in Life Sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred experience in CRO or drug development, with emphasis on Real-World Data in drug research.
  • Working knowledge of Italian regulatory landscape, GDPR, EHDS, and general healthcare data regulations; knowledge of other national regulations is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in partnership management.
  • Experience working collaboratively within an academic environment is beneficial.
  • Flexibility in work roles as required in a small company.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
  • Proactive approach and strong followup skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Global work environment experience with flexibility across time zones.
  • Fluency in English; fluency in Italian required, additional languages appreciated.

Additional Information:


  • Virtual office location is Milano with a fully remote working model.
  • Availability to travel regionally for team events and meetings, up to 1020%
  • Our main offices are located in Boston, London, Singapore, Helsinki, Turku, Lund and Zurich, necessitating the flexibility to work across different time zones.
  • The salary range for the Data Partnerships Manager is competitive and will be based on qualifications and experiences.
