Mission of the Job


The PMO-Project scheduler is an MS (master Schedule) expert and is responsible for the full implementation of the scheduling process through the whole Project team.

He/she owns and cascades the multi-level scheduling practice delivering appropriate information to all the Project stakeholders:

  • Level 1 Master schedule: to both Customer and internal Management
  • Level 2 Control schedule: to both the Project Manager and the Airbus Project Team
  • Level 3 Work Package schedules: to both the WP managers and the WP teams
Reports to the PPC Manager.

Main activities

Creation of project schedule templates and guidelines

‒ Identification of project milestones based on the contract and key internal milestones in sufficient detail to ensure sufficient controls are in place

‒ Creation and maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Plan (IMP)

‒ Integration of multiple WP schedules into an Integrated Multi Level Schedule

‒ Performs regular schedule reviews with each PM/WP Manager and consolidates the Level 3 updates at Level 2 comparing the last Level 3 forecasts with the Level 1 commitment in order to both challenge the Level 3 accordingly and deliver inputs to the Project Manager for decision making or escalation

‒ Owns and maintains the Project schedule database and manages the links between the levels (and cross-project teams) in order to properly monitor the plan and the schedule float

‒ Performs schedule analysis (critical path, driver analysis, what-ifs)

‒ Creates and provides regular schedule reports to monitor adherence to the baseline regarding Milestones achievement, technical progress, workload schedule compliance and Procurement adherence.


Education/Training:

  • Managerial Engineering Degree or equivalent

Experience:


  • Minimum 3 years' experience in similar position
  • Master plan and Resource allocation
  • Knowledge of Project Management and Performance Management is a plus
  • Knowledge of production processes and technologies is a plus
  • Communication and leadership skills

Tool or product requirements:

  • SAP
  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft Office
  • Primavera or UP is a plus

Languages:

  • English
  • Other languages are a plus
