As
Mechanical Designer you will perform the following activities:

  • Capture stakeholders needs (operational contexts, use cases, scenarios )
  • Specify the product (functions, operational modes, functional performances, RAMS performances, cybersecurity requirements, external interfaces, product configurations )
  • Define architecture of the product (logical/physical architecture including configuration/maintenance tools, HW/SW allocation, deployment strategy ) with the support of RAM/Safety/Cyber managers
  • Design the product components (refine definition of HW/SW components identified in the architecture )
  • Verify technical choices and work products (system analysis, design reviews, work product reviews, simulation)
  • Ensure technical consistency between all stakeholders
  • Analyze technical issues identified during product/system/project V&V activities or by customer service
  • Provide technical support to engineering team, system/project teams, test and commissioning team, service, tendering
  • Contribute to product documentation (datasheet, User Manuals, Training kits)
  • Contribute to configuration management (identify/manage configuration of Product Design work products)
  • Contribute to requirement management (capture/identify/characterize/develop/allocate/trace requirements up to HW/SW components)
  • Contribute to program management (development strategy, schedule, resource, progress follow up, risks)
  • Technical followup for externalized development (COS)
  • Contribute to ADM standardization by reusing existing technical solutions or by implementing reusable technical solutions

Requirements:


  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferable.
  • Good written and spoken English
- preferred 2+ years of experience in mechanical/electromechanical design in structured industrial companies (railway, space, military, automatic machinery)
