Job Description:


What will you take care of?


The Engine and Vehicle Control Unit Project Manager works for development of state of the art cross domain products, integrating HW electronics and embedded SW solutions.

The Project Manager is in charge to lead the project team and is responsible for achieving the project objectives by leading and coordinating cross-functional or multi-disciplinary teams.

ECU/VCU PjM reports to the management level responsible for the business success of their project deliverables.

The resource will support the team in the following activities:

  • Overall technically and economically responsible for the Engine/Vehicle control Unit product/project (sub-projects HW, SW, CAL and services within scope of sold business case (sold product)) and the associated development.
  • Responsible for achieving the project objectives and goals "on time", "on spec/quality", "on budget", "on profit" as contracted in project charter.
  • Maintain and increase customer satisfaction by appropriate customer communication regarding project deliverables and achievement of customer project goals
  • To be the customer interface for the product & associated development
  • Responsible for target achievement (according to Project Charter) and deviation countermeasures
  • Escalate critical issues and decision needs beyond agreed project management plan to line management, project sponsor or project review committee
  • Issue directives to the project team members and delegate responsibilities to them
  • Approve purchasing requests within approved project management plan

Qualifications:


Education:
Mechatronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent


Experience and know-how:Good system overview and understanding of the interaction of HW and SW in connection with powertrains. Profound project management expertise (minimum 5 years experience), including processes, methods and tools. Background knowledge of Automotive-SPICE


Working Method:

Independent and goal-oriented way of working, good analytical skills and coordination skills, team player attitude within a diverse and multicultural environment, proactive working style, customer orientation.

Ability to take decisions based on profound technical and commercial knowledge of the product to be developed and launched


Language skills:
Good English language skills required; in best case, basic knowledge of German language


Personality:
High motivation and willingness to take responsibilities, self-standing personality, flexibility and ability to work under pressure. Availability for abroad assignments for short or medium periods as a nice-to-have**.
