The Quality Project Manager is responsible project milestones are tracked and meet.

This role is also responsible for coordinating meetings, fulfilling commitments and initiatives, cross-functional co-ordination and ensuring effective tracking, reporting and control for the Ivrea expansion.

This is a high visibility and demanding role, bringing with it the opportunity to learn about the company, shape global healthcare trends and have impact at the highest level.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Define and plan agendas, deliver content and lead preparation for key milestones and meetings.
  • Deliver on the Project Plans timelines.
  • Work in close collaboration with technical functions such as Engineering, QC, and Sterility Assurance to ensure alignment with global Novartis standards.
  • Design project tools and templates to enable streamlined project management, establishing a standard for organization of deliverables, monitoring of project plans, reporting status, and effective communication between stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate projects risks, including timely escalation to Local and Global management.
  • Actively drive creation of highquality documents and ensure timely submission of decks in alignment with manager's expectations (e.g. SteerCo). Report on project progress to senior management including analysis of projects constraints and financial considerations
  • Inspire change management initiatives and embed collaboration forums across the sites and as required with stakeholders. Control project scope to limit schedule changes and to capture changes of scope that may arise.
  • Support with site readiness for regulatory submission and inspections for approval of the expansion

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

  • B.S. degree in Science, Engineering or related field with 5 years' relevant experience or MSc with 3 years of relevant experience. Formal project management qualification (PMP/APMP/Prince2/P30 or equivalent) desirable.
  • Experience in qualitybased roles including experience in GMP and/or laboratory operations required
  • Strong project management capabilities with demonstrated ability to problem solve and mediate complex issues
  • Strong understanding and operating awareness of working in a pharmaceutical company
  • Capable of leading in a matrix environment, without direct reports
  • Understanding of all aspects of site operations, including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.
  • Experience in regulatory agency and partner/collaborator inspections is preferred.
  • Good understanding of local/National Health Authorities regulations and Novartis standards
  • Strong communication, leadership and team working skills
  • Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills both internal and external (cross network relationships)
  • Fluent English, Italian is preferred
