We are looking to hire a
Business Development Manager for our European Regional team based in Rome (Italy).

This opportunity will see you working with current Vix and prospective Vix customers and project teams to increase EMEA market share.

This hybrid role will require some travel for face-to-face meetings with customers and other business partners.


This is a challenging new business development role, with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets in our market segment.

What will you be doing?

  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones
  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Contribute to developing quotes and proposals for clients
  • Teamwork is an essential requirement of the position. The Business Development Manager will be expected to be able to work effectively with a diverse and dispersed group of people, while working under tight deadlines in a high activity environment
  • Highly energetic with a positive cando attitude

What you'll bring:


Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field.
  • Experience in sales, marketing or related field.
  • Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multitask.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to flourish with mínimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable using a computer for various tasks
  • Good interpersonal skills. Ability to interact professionally with internal and external
- stakeholders, and technical and non-technical persons

  • Very good command of the English language both written and spoken
  • Significant experience working in an agile, global technology business

Desirable:

  • Experience in Transport Sector (for Automated Fare Collection systems) and/or Payment Sector (Contactless EMV)
