    Job Description Reporting to the Electronic Design Manager, the Firmware Engineer will have the following responsibilities:
    Definition of the technical specifications of firmware projects, based on the functional requirements.
    Development of device drivers.
    Firmware testing.
    Application of debugging and code analysis techniques.
    Drafting of supporting documentation.
    Support for project management activities, i.e. cost and time estimation activities for prototypes.
    Execution of tasks in accordance with the requirements indicated by the quality management system adopted by the organisation.

    The ideal candidate has the following characteristics:

    At least 3 year's experience in firmware development for low power applications, preferably in the development of IIoT or IoT devices.

    In-depth knowledge of the C\C++ language in the embedded field with extensive use of sleep, deep sleep or shutdown modes.

    Significant experience with modems and their use via AT commands and RF transceivers with serial, low power serial or SPI interfaces.

    Good familiarity with system optimisation in terms of energy consumption in battery-powered devices.
    Experience working in interdisciplinary teams.
    Fluency in English and Italian; knowledge of German is desirable.
    Knowledge of development with Bluetooth Low Energy devices appreciated.
    Knowledge of industrial protocols and industrial and automotive field buses is appreciated.
    Knowledge of development with Agile methodology is appreciated.
