- The assimilation of radiance measurements from hyperspectral infrared instruments like IASI-NG, MTG-IRS, and CrIS using RTTOV.
- Monitoring and assessing the performance of all satellite radiances.
- Improving the assimilation system to utilize new satellite data from various instruments.
- Developing techniques for detecting contamination in IR radiances due to clouds and aerosols.
- A university degree in Physics, Mathematics, Meteorology, or related fields, preferably at the PhD level, or equivalent research experience;
- At least three years of relevant work experience;
- Good knowledge of satellite observations and data assimilation methodology;
- Proficiency in computing skills, including Unix/Linux, Fortran, and possibly C++, Python, and IDL.
