- Designing mechanisms for both manned and unmanned modules and satellites, involving spacecraft mechanical design using aerospace materials.
- Performing Finite Element Modelling with software like FEMAP, Patran, or Hypermesh.
- Conducting structural static and normal mode analyses based on FEM.
- Utilizing Multibody modeling and analysis tools like ADAMS or Motion View/Motion Solver.
- Supporting spacecraft mechanism development and verification plans.
- Preparing design and analysis reports, aiding in the design and development plans, and assisting in mechanical testing instrumentation.
- Essential skills include a solid understanding of Mechanical Engineering, knowledge of aerospace design and analysis methodologies, and familiarity with CAD and CAM processes.
- Proficiency in reading manufacturing drawings, using Windows Office, Nastran solver, FEM pre-post processors, and Multibody analysis tools is essential.
- Additionally, experience with MATLAB, Mathcad, or Simulink, and a Master's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering are desired.
- Previous experience in Structural or Mechanical Engineering, as well as fluency in English and potentially French, are considered valuable assets.

Job Description
The selected candidate will be responsible for defining project solutions related to mechanisms for space mission vehicles. This includes analyzing requirements at the subsystem level to inform design decisions. The role involves selecting components such as springs, dampers, gearboxes, and levers, as well as choosing materials and processes for efficient structural solutions. These solutions must be designed to withstand launch and mission loads, potential re-entry, and landing impacts. The engineer will need to conduct FEM and Multibody analyses to support design decisions and validate solutions through testing and CAD expertise.
