Medical and Scientific Affairs Intern, New Cardiology EMEA:

    About the Role:

The core objective of this role is to support the execution of the evidence generation strategy and educational activities related to Coronary Interventions within New Cardio Medical Affairs in EMEA.


In this role, you will be responsible to:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the clinical science supporting our products in Coronary Interventions, while actively support gathering and development of data intelligence in our product space.
  • Develop the ability to monitor and synthesize key conference medical information and journal publications in the domain.
  • Support in education and training for the internal organization in EMEA, helping with creation of content on new data releases and key trials in the field of Coronary Interventions.
  • Support in the organization and execution of highquality medical education events and scientific projects with/for physicians, either at third party congresses or at Boston Scientific sponsored events (e.g., sponsored symposia, advisory boards).
  • Support in the implementation of Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) projects.
  • Support in scientific collaborations and management of the network with HealthCare Professionals (HCPs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Support internal preparation for international congresses and symposia.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and colleagues (e.g. EMEA marketing and Health Economics & Market Access teams, Global Scientific Affairs), facilitating communication and collaboration within EMEA and across other regions.

What are we looking for in you:

  • High level of motivation and independent, reliable, structured personality, with quality-oriented way of working and a proactive, solution-oriented, and collaborative approach to tasks.
  • Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders. Interested in developing presentation skills.
  • Basic experience in clinical data interpretation, to be developed into the ability to fully understand, review and further communicate complex concepts.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent spoken and written skills. Knowledge in additional foreign languages is more than welcomed.
  • Propension to work in a dynamic and fastpaced environment.
  • The role might require some travelling, in order to attend team meetings and/or congresses.
  • Basic knowledge in Interventional Cardiology is an advantage, not a requirement.
  • Previous exposure to the medical device industry (or similar) is an advantage.
