Job Title:
ICT Operations network specialist

Location:
Buttrio (UD)

Responsibilities:

The ICT Operations Network Specialist reports to the ICT Operations Manager, and he is in charge setting up, developing and maintaining computer networks within the organization or between subsidiaries.

He will offer support to users, who can be staff, clients, customers and suppliers, and troubleshoot any problems that arise.

He will also manage and maintain whole network infrastructure in all its derivations, such as firewalls, switches, access points, ip-phones, WAN devices etc.

The core focus is to maintain the integrity of high availability network infrastructure to provide maximum performance for Danieli users.

In particular, the primary tasks and activities will be:

Level 1 and Level 2 Operational support
Service Level Agreement and Operating Level Agreement
LANs, WANs, WLANs, VoIP and MANs management.
Customer satisfaction oriented.
To comply with the ICT Security policies and supporting documentation in relation to Data Protection, Information Security and Confidentiality.
To establish the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards
To implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment
To maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization
To secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
To support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy
To report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects
To maintain data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases, to keep track of changes inside the infrastructure and to respond proactively to them.
To configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls
To provide troubleshooting and fault finding on network realm
To develop and implement strategical infrastructural projects.

Requirements:

Networkrelated certifications are highly recommended
Security certifications are highly appreciated
5 years of experience on the field
Design computer network: Develop and plan ICT networks, such as wide area network and local area network, that connect computers using wired or wireless connections and allow them to exchange data and assess their capacity requirements.
Provide technical documentation: Prepare documentation for existing and upcoming products or services, describing their functionality and composition in such a way that it is understandable for a wide audience without technical background and compliant with defined requirements and standards. Keep documentation up to date.
Forecast future ICT network needs: Identify current data traffic and estimate how growth will affect the ICT network.

Soft Skills:

High proficiency in spoken and written English.
Availability for worldwide business trips.
Teamwork skills and the ability to feel comfortable working with different teams, clients and groups of staff across an organisation
Multitasking, resiliency and ability to work under business pressure
