    Job Title: RAM and Safety Manager

    We design and manufacture a complete range of transportation systems, from high-speed trains to electric buses and driverless trains, as well as infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility solutions.

    The purpose of this role is to manage the RAM and Safety activities and related deliverables in accordance with QCD commitments during project/product development phase.

    The job involves planning and piloting the RAM and Safety activities on projects/products development phase, ensuring the adequacy of the RAMS deliverables fosters their acceptance by the Customer within the limit of Alstom commitments.

    The successful candidate will have experience in safety and RAM analysis, knowledge of electrical/electronic/mechanical/automation/aerospace engineering, and good communication skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and pilot the RAM and Safety activities in tender phase to assess the capability and risks of the foreseen Alstom product to meet the customer requirements.
    • Perform the projects/products RAM and Safety activities compliant with the QCD work packages commitments.
    • Ensure the adequacy of the RAMS deliverables fosters their acceptance by the Customer within the limit of Alstom commitments and for Safety ones by the Independent parties (ISA, NoBo, DeBo).
    • Assess and demonstrate the level of Safety achieved by Alstom product taking into account Software and Hardware contributions.
    • Know and manage the principal RAMS European and international standards applicable to rail sector.
    • Continuously assess the capability of the Alstom product to meet the Reliability performance in project phases.
    • Define and transfer in a timely manner the necessary safety requirement to put under control the relevant railway safety risks.
    • Support other stakeholders in the definition of appropriate measures to meet the safety and reliability actions.
    • Consolidate the RAMS contribution from external suppliers or other entities.
    • Perform the safety and RAM design reviews in accordance with project schedule.
    • Coordinate the RAMS contributors from different entities.
    • Manage the interface with the independent parties (ISA, NoBo, Debo) on the project.
    • Apply the Alstom Engineering rules & processes on the programs/products in particular those dedicated to the RAM and Safety activities.

    Requirements:

    • Safety and RAM analysis and tools with no or 2 to 5 years of experience preferably in rail industry.
    • Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical/Automation/Aerospace engineering academic background.
    • Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties.
    • Time management and goal oriented.
    • Sense of urgency / priority.
    • Customer & Product Focus.
    • Structured and organized with Hands-on approach.
    • English operational in reading/writing and speaking within technical meetings.
