Job description

The Product Compliance Specialist will be part of the Quality Compliance Team꞉ he she will support in developing and securing the engineering and quality needs to deliver products satisfying customer expectations in all aspects of Democratic Design.

As a Product Compliance Specialist, you will secure product compliance verifying product requirements, translate the IKEA Chemical Strategy within Purchasing into operational plans and follow up implementation.


Your tasks will include:


  • Support the team to secure product compliance and product requirement reviews
  • Support with specialist knowledge of product Safety & Health related requirements as well as mapping and risk assessment of relevant material and processes
  • Relate to Categories Business Teams and support them with IKEA Specifications knowledge
  • Contribute to ensure that PLA action plan reflects the Supply Chain Action Plan for the Chemical Strategy and follow up implementation
  • Verify Product Compliance by performing spot sample reviews with focus on product documentation and testing of products
  • Based on results of the reviews and related rootcause analysis, secure corrective and preventive actions together with the business development teams
  • Support the teams in Category to evaluate new potential suppliers in addressing risks connected to Product safety and Chemical Compliance
  • Secure knowledge sharing and competence build up regarding Product Safe & Health requirement with IKEA coworkers and suppliers
  • Lead training with IKEA coworkers and suppliers to develop Competence about Product Safety & Health requirements and Compliance working methods and tools

Qualification Your knowledge, skills and experience include**:

  • Preferred background in Chemicals
  • Good cooperation skills, willing to work in team
  • Able to deliver on time according to agreed deadlines
  • Capability to transfer knowledge and working methods to coworkers and suppliers
  • Motivated for a job which requires a lot of documentation checks
  • Capable to handle relations and good in networking
  • Eager to learn but also to quickly contribute
  • Analytical skills are requested in order to perform Compliance checks
  • Good Italian and English
