    In our brand-new Agile organization within Smart Power Division, we are actively seeking a Power Electronic Engineer to join Innovation & Common Modules Agile Unit.

    The successful candidate will play a crucial role in identifying, designing, testing, and troubleshooting of new and existing power solution, selecting components and engaging suppliers for technical requirements and feasibility, and closely collaborating with other members of R&D team in a global and cross functional environment.

    This position reports to Power Electronics for Interruption & Switching Chapter Leader.

    Your responsibilitiesCreate thermal model of power semiconductor and cooling system (heatsink, cold plate, heat pipe, ...).


    Design power cooling solution:
    forced and natural air cooling, liquid cooling.
    Select components and engaging suppliers for technical requirements and feasibility of identified solutions.
    Support design of power stages including estimation of losses and efficiency; support design and simulation of gate driver design.
    Maintain documentation of all designs, prepare internal and external technical reports.
    Perform hands on testing and troubleshoot of new/existing products, analyzing test data and optimizing the solutions.
    Building and testing simulation models and hardware demonstrators; building test assemblies, running experiments, and recording test data.
    Collaborate with other members of R&D team to perform cross-functional tasks as control, testing, layout, etc.

    Your backgroundMaster's degree in electrical engineering in the field of Power Electronics (focus on Thermal Management).Familiar with design and analysis of power conversion topologies, power semiconductors modules and with thermal and electrical simulation tools (Ansys/Maxwell, SIMetrix, PLECS, Matlab/Simulink...).Experience in low voltage power conversion industries and DC application.

    Ability to read and understand specifications.
    Demonstrated skills in effective communication, presentation of results, and networking.
    Good interpersonal relationship skills, initiative, and positive attitude.
    Good in written and oral English.
    Previous experience in SSCB design/application is a plus.
    Reliability of power semiconductor knowledge (thermal cycling, aging, ...) is a plus.


    Experience in similar industries:
    motor drives, power supplies, etc, is a plus.
    Experience with EMI design and troubleshooting is a plus.
