Job Description:

Turner & Townsend is entering into a period of significant growth in Europe.

As a result, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and innovative HR Manager to join our Europe business to be based out of our office in Milan, Italy.

This is an ideal role for a quality driven professional with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

With further ambitious growth plans for the business in the coming years, Turner & Townsend will create exciting career development opportunities for our employees.

As part of our Europe HR team you will be responsible for providing a generalist HR service for our entities Italy (at site) and Poland (remotely).

Key accountabilities (the below list is not exhaustive)

Build trusted relationships with key operational stakeholders to deliver our people strategy in Italy and Poland.
Issue employment contracts, Appendices for employees and act as key point of contact for the external payroll offices.
Monitor the induction and onboarding process of new starters; Ensure a great first day experience of our new starters and track completion of the onboarding plans
Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers, providing robust commercial advice and guidance on policy and process, recommending appropriate solutions.
Management of complex employee relations; disciplinary, absence, performance, etc.
Implement our regional learning & development environment, manage talent and succession planning.
Coordinate, analyse, communicate, operationally implement and monitor the implementation of global/regional processes in your areas of responsibility.
Shape, influence, manage and deliver a broad range of people projects, change initiatives and calendar activities, under the Europe people strategy.
Produce people related reports, indepth data analysis and visual presentations and provide ad hoc management information to senior stakeholders.
Organize and lead the launch of the Early Career Programmes in Italy and Poland.
Conduct exit interviews and produce value added, meaningful, analysis.
Work closely with HR Managers in other countries and the Europe HR Lead.

Qualifications:

Degree in Human Resources or related field
Minimum 3 years' post graduate experience in similar role
Excellent English and Italian language skills (written and verbal); solid Polish languages skills preferred but not required
Ability to build and manage relationships at all levels of the business
Knowledge of HR systems
Excellent Microsoft office (ideally O365) skills and eye for good document layout
Excellent communications skills
Strong negotiating skills
People oriented and results driven
In depth knowledge of Italian employment legislation and basic knowledge of Polish labour code
Preferably previous exposure to multinational industries within construction or consultancy sectors
Right to work in Italy
