Summary:

The HR Manager for Italy is leading the HR and Admin function for the Energean's Italian business unit.

The role is responsible for all aspects of HR activities in the country including payroll, recruitment, talent management, training and development, organisation, compensation, union relations, people and culture management.

In addition, the responsibilities include the safeguarding of Energean's interests and reputation by ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and internal policies.

The position reports to the Country Manager for Italy, and the Group HR Director and has close collaboration with other Group and Company managers on a day-to-day basis and especially with HR team in other countries.

The role is responsible for managing Italy's HR & Admin team.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Managing Human Resources processes and policies including but not limited to:
  • People and Culture Management
  • Wellness at work and work climate
  • Recruitment and Selection, including employer branding and talent acquisition
  • Development and Training
  • Organization
  • Compensation
  • Corporate Welfare
  • Disciplinary Management


  • Payroll

  • Workforce & Labour Cost Planning
  • Responsible in collaboration with the Communication department for the Industrial and Trade Union Relations.
  • Management of both expatriates or inpatriate employees for Energean Italy.
  • Lead and support the organisation of employee related company events in the Italian perimeter.
  • Facility Management of the Italian offices, excluding the operational facilities and plants, by taking care of:
  • Workplaces
  • General services to the business
  • Car fleet handling
  • Business travel
  • Administration of the secretariats pool

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources of related/equivalent fields.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in HR with 5 years in managerial position within the function, preferably including energy and/or oil & gas sector experience.
  • People management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Italian labour law and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong knowledge of employmentrelated laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.
  • Ability to manage complexity.
This role is being handled by the Energean recruitment team and no agency contact is required.
