As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director of Hardware Development to join our dynamic team and lead the innovation initiatives for our base station hardware.

As the Director of Hardware Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products.

You will be responsible for designing new base station features, suggesting improvements, and leading the innovation initiative to ensure our hardware solutions remain at the forefront of the industry.

Your technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills will be instrumental in driving our hardware development efforts and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.


Responsibilities:


Hardware Design and Development:


Lead the design and development of new base station features, ensuring they align with the company's strategic goals and market demands.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, engineering, research, software to define hardware requirements and specifications.

Drive the hardware development lifecycle, from concept to prototyping, testing, and final product release.

Oversee the development of schematics, PCB layouts, BTS design artifacts, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.


Stay abreast of the latest advancements and emerging technologies in the telecommunications hardware space, and incorporate them into our product roadmap.

Innovation and Improvement:

Champion a culture of innovation within the hardware development team, fostering creativity, exploration, and the generation of new ideas.

Identify areas for improvement in existing base station hardware and make strategic recommendations to enhance performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.


Conduct research and feasibility studies to explore new hardware technologies, architectures, and components that can further differentiate our products in the market.

Collaborate with external partners, vendors, to foster innovation and leverage external expertise where applicable.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Build and manage a high-performing hardware development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting effective communication and knowledge sharing across teams.

Establish clear goals, deliverables, and timelines for hardware development projects, and ensure their successful execution.


Collaborate with other departments, such as software development and operations, to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of hardware and software components.


About you:


You are coming with valuable industry experience in RF Engineering & Cellular (Developed architecture, manufacturing, BTS design, etc.), and have been hands on with radio equipment and base stations, end-end from the design phase to manufacturing to deployment.


You have a passion for base stations, even though you don't necessarily know all the specific policies, you know what requirements and changes are happening on RF in different countries and regions.


You have the ability to forecast, understand how policy makers work, which in turn will allow you to lead and innovate the Hardware Development cycle.


Not only have you participated in creation of radio products but have been around and spearheaded their evolution as new technologies appeared, have integrated new (in-house) developed software.


You have lead teams in cross-functional, multi-cultural environments, and understand the difficulties and nuances of knowledge intense environments, and vendor relations.

You have built and lead Hardware & Engineering teams before.


Above all else you can come in with a vision and ideas on use cases for different potential solutions, that an Industry giant just doesn't have space for.

As a young company Polus managed to achieve development, production and deployment of hundreds of base stations, when our goal is to maintain and increase our double-digit growth phase.
