    Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated EMC TEST ENGINEER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in NAPLES. Availability to travel in Italy and abroad.

    Accountabilities Electromagnetic compatibility tests to determine compliance to domestic and international regulatory standards.
    EMC measurements at the site and on the external siteAnalyze results and perform diagnosis of problems and recommend solutions.
    Participate in global team meetings to ensure consistency and technical issues are identified and resolved.
    Requirement analysisDevelopment of test documentationDevelopment of calculation and simulation models of EM fields in railway vehiclesDevelopment of railway research activitiesRequired Skills/Knowledge

    Ability to perform EMC testPrevious experience in TestingGood knowledge about EMC issuesGood knowledge of EMC calculations techniquesGood knowledge of signal processing techniquesKnowledge of sw and methods for EMF calculation.

    Good knowledge of laboratory equipmentGood knowledge of laboratory quality standardsGood knowledge of measurement techniques/methods and data managementGood knowledge of the Office environmentFundamentals of electronic circuitsAbility to read, understand and interpret the test resultsAbility to develop sw routines for data processingAbility to read, understand and interpret drawing, schematics and cable plansBasic working knowledge of Railway sectorBasic understanding of software configuration managementsMust be "team oriented" with excellent communication skills.

    Manage and lead assigned resources and suppliers in order to perform the tests and troubleshooting activitiesValidation and Verification ProcessesEducation/Qualifications

    Engineering Degree or equivalent technical background.

    Languages Fluent Knowledge of English (written & spoken).
