The Italian affiliate of Novo Nordisk, based in Rome, is hiring a Clinical Research Manager (CRA Team Manager).

You will join our Clinical Operations Team and you will work in a hybrid work mode, being preferably domiciled in Rome or nearby locations.

The Position
This position reports to the Head of Clinical Operations in Italy.

As a people manager in Clinical Operations, you will play a key role in developing talented CRAs (Clinical Research Associates) and ensuring an efficient allocation of resources to trial and sites.


Our ambition is to create a climate where team are engaged and motivated to drive optimal performance and achieve our clinical trial goals.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Lead & manage a team of CRAs (recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, feedback & coaching, covisits at sites, role modelling on company culture, mission & vision).
  • Engage key customers by building and maintaining partnership with KOLs, represent Novo Nordisk externally (i.e., Investigators' Meetings, congresses, etc) and contribute to making Novo Nordisk the preferred partner in clinical trials.
  • Support the execution of trial feasibility and the allocation of a clinical trial in the country
  • Able to cooperate, interact and negotiate at international level with representatives of Clinical Development Centre, International Trial Managers, other HQ representatives.

Qualifications


To be eligible for this role, you need to hold a life sciences degree and to have bold experience within Clinical Research (minimum 6 years) and People Management (minimum 2 years).


Furthermore:

  • You are Fluent in both Italian and English.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as CRA in monitoring clinical trials with excellent knowledge of clinical trial methodology
  • Demonstrated personal leadership competencies (flexibility, drive ambitious results, collaborate with stakeholders, maintain patient focus), skills towards People Management & Cross Functional Cooperation.
  • Excellent planning & organization, good communication skills and relationship management.
  • Risk based quality management approach, business ethics and company values.
  • Experience in team management /supervision is required

You will work in our Clinical, Medical and Regulatory (CMR) department at Novo Nordisk, that is one of the most diverse and collaborative groups within the organization.
