Salary:
€80,000 – €95,000 (DOE)


Package:
Flights, single occupancy accommodation and utility bills fully expensed

Tax:
Eligible candidates may avail of the Italian expat tax regime where only 50% of employment income is subject to income tax, subject to meeting qualifying criteria and minimum stay requirements

Company Overview

Our client is a leading international M&E contractor delivering large scale Data Centre projects across Europe.

With a strong pipeline of secured work in Italy, they are now seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join a flagship Data Centre project in Milan.

This is a long term opportunity on a major hyperscale development with a multi year delivery programme.

Role Overview

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will take ownership of the mechanical delivery across a large scale Data Centre project.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will provide technical leadership, drive programme performance and ensure all mechanical systems are delivered safely, on time and in line with client quality expectations.

This role requires proven Data Centre experience and a strong background in mechanical building services delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering delivery on a large scale Data Centre project
• Manage mechanical engineering teams, subcontractors and specialist vendors
• Oversee HVAC, chilled water, LTHW, pipework and associated mechanical packages
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and industry standards
• Drive programme milestones in line with the overall construction schedule
• Coordinate closely with Electrical, CSA and Commissioning teams
• Support procurement strategy and technical submittal reviews
• Monitor quality control and ensure high standards of installation
• Support commissioning, testing and handover processes
• Report progress, risks and commercial impacts to senior management

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
• Proven experience xkiyazw delivering mechanical packages on Data Centre projects
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems and mechanical plant
• Experience working with main contractors or large M&E contractors
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in a fast paced environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English required

• Base salary €80,000 – €95,000 depending on experience
